I love Mega Man for everything! I love all the different Mega Man series', they all had some impact on my life. MMX was my first experience, but I only became a fan of the franchise when I played MMZ for the first time. It was the series of video games that made me interested in story in games, which made me care about the characters. MMZ4 was the first game that made me cry in my life, and it had a lot of impact for me, it was then that I realized that video games were experiences well beyond just pure fun. MM Legends (64) made me like exploration, MM Battle Network and Star Force made me get a bigger taste for RPGs, and BN in specific, was the series that made me improve my English while playing it (I'm Brazilian). It helped me a lot in absolutely everything. Classic and ZX have not had such a big impact, but I love them a lot too. Mega Man was the franchise that defined me as Gamer, and made and continues to make a lot of difference in my life, and I'm really grateful for this franchise and all its series exist. It's my favorite franchise of any entertainment media, and it always will be!

Capcom's best platformer! Other than that, its just super satisfying to play and beat a Mega Man game. Its replay value never gets old, what I like about it is how the game teaches you gameplay through the level designs themselves. Like Egoraptor says -''back then they respected people's intelligence through gameplay itself.''

Pioneered a lot of elements of modern side scrollers, like what Golden Eye did for shooters.

A franchise that, while not so prolific like Mario or Sonic, still manages to be unique among other platformers. Its gameplay and settings makes it a nice combination! Plus is has some of the best music and later added story. I would positively say that Mega Man deserves the title as, the best action-platforming game.

Mega Man is only one of the two game franchises that showed me video games can be fantastic! It's difficult challenges across most of the different incarnations of the blue bomber is probably the reason I can throw myself against super bosses in various other games until I win. Hell, Mega Man is why I got into doing pixel art.

To me Mega Man has always represented the ideal of wanting true peace for all and wanting to see everyone find their purpose and place, but also being unafraid to fight and do what is necessary to maintain that peace. I remember being very, very young and feeling a connection to the character and the world in a way that felt... visceral, which isn't something you get from a lot of retro games (even if I think a good chunk of them are fantastic); Rock is the hero that we need and deserve, and should all strive to be. Innocence isn't weakness and neither is love or idealism!

Standing up and staying strong. That what Mega Man means to me. Ever since 6th grade, I’ve been a fan of the series and while I haven’t explored some of the spinoffs, the Classic Series will stay in my heart for a long time!

I love Mega Man because you feel like you are the hero on the screen, saving the world once again from Wily. The difficulty level makes you feel weak at the beginning, but as time passes you get stronger with practice, and the games never stops testing you! So when you finally beat the final boss it feels like a real accomplishment. Also knowing that you fought with your sweat and tears to make the world a peaceful and better place is what makes it so special to me!

I'll never forget how excited I was to play! Every chance I got, I went and fired up my PlayStation to play Megaman 8. I remember being so inspired by the flashy anime intro and driving music! I remember how frustrated I would get sometimes, but how I always kept going back to it. To this day, Frost Man's theme still sticks to me, and it's the same feelings I want to evoke in my music career!

Mega Man is the only robot that taught me the meaning of justice, even if it means to fight a war for peace.

Mega Man means a hero who always seeks peace, even though it hurts him to have to fight against his loved ones.

I honestly fell in love with the characters first because they had a good amount of integrity and justice which also made me fall in love with the story. So if Mega Man was to mean something to me, it would mean integrity, justice and perseverance, and because of that, I keep finding myself falling in love with it all over again and I love that!

I grew up with my parents being split up, so things were pretty tough. I couldn't understand what was happening or why everything was so hard. But during all of that I had the Mega Man Anniversary Collection for GameCube and it would distract me from everything else. Mega Man has always been a huge part of my life ever since I was a child.
